The client Gplan was originally developed to be operated with the Edits-Box and later changed to communicate with the DDW-sever using the SRCP-protocol. Gplan allows to develop track layouts and to operate turnouts, signals, feedback decoders and to run locomotives in combination with the DDW server.

Apart from the Windows version I have developed a Linux version with Kylix (Delphi) which is available on the download page

Gplan is not yet finished and will further be developed according to special needs. Further plans include implemention of joystick support, support of further locomotive decoder functions and of automatic event-driven operations.

The properties of Gplan:

  • Easy graphical design of track layouts

  • Operation of turnouts and signals with a mouse click

  • Recovery of signal and turnout state during start up

  • Mixed operation of Marklin/Motorola decoders and NMRA/DCC decoders

  • Definition of 64 predefined routes possible

  • Event-driven information of feedback modules (S88 and compatible)

  • Possible operation in a network

  • Open Source, therefore usable and extendable for every one. The program was developed with C++ - Builder by Borland

  • Compatible with the Simple Railroad Command Protocol (SRCP)

  • operating lokos with two Joysticks or home made devices. You can either use digital joysticks (then you need ar least DirectX version 8) or analog joysticks. Without DirectX installed you have to start the 'NT' version of Gplan.
