Newsgroups: alt.religion.scientology From: kenlong@netcom.com (Ken Long) Subject: I've made no "public departure"... Date: Sat, 25 Feb 1995 08:15:06 GMT I wanted to make something clear, to squelch any ideas anybody has that I may have, may be thinking about or planning to, or anything else having to do with a "public departure from Scientology." This has not or will not occur. But I'd also better clarify that... "Departing Scientology" could ONLY mean the subject, practice of if, promotion of it, enthusiasm about it, etc., etc. This will never happen, as far as I'm concerned. If the term is considered by anyone to encompass the Church, as well, then those people have gross misunderstoods on the subject. The subject is senior to the Church. It's supposed to be Church **OF* Scientology! NOT the "Scientology of Church." Get it? Some may think, also, that recent announcements of policy violations on the part of Church staff and/or officials in their treatment of me means that I have "departed Scientology." Again, not true. As I said, that will never happen. If "departure from Scientology" means departure from support of, or promotion of, standard application of it, then what's occurred in MY situation is that it has departed ME! Or been made unavailable to me. As I said, one way to blow is to make everyone else leave. If those "everyone elses" did not commit any overts, but you did, and they are all at your house, then you CAN'T blow! You live there! So, the solution is to make everyone at the party go home (or elsewhere). Another potential assumption is that I have "gone over to the "Free Zone." I've got news! I've been in the "Free Zone" for trillions of years! I was in the Free Zone before Scientology existed (as a codified subject). So was LRH! So was everyone who ever got on the Church's lines! The Free Zone is *senior* to the Church. (Shock? Dismay? Think about it.) The Church is not where the subject came from - it came from the Free Zone. When LRH was codifying the subject of Scientology, he was working in the Free Zone. Before there was a Church "of" it, all gains from the subject were made in the Free Zone. All previous and/or current seekers of truth are in the Free Zone. Even after the Church was founded, there was a Free Zone directly connected with it that supported it and got support from it. Then, later, when the Church was confounded, the Free Zone was excluded from mutual support. The original intention of the Church was to work as a group to help individuals duplicate and understand and apply the subject as LRH discovered data of, and developed practical application of and for, so they could get out of the trap. The Church was so a person stood a better chance of making the connection and making his way up and out. Rather than a bunch of disorganized truth seekers comparing notes and haphazardly making sporadic gains, if any, some people saw that LRH's notes seemed to produce the best results, so they organized their efforts to forward that set of techniques and associated data, and the group called itself the Church of Scientology. The Church *of*, pertaining to, using, promoting, applying, operating on, differentiating else from, etc., etc., SCIENTOLOGY. See? The Church of Scientology is supposed to be made up of the "Person (s) of Scientology." As a group, each has to see to it that ALL others he encounters within the rest of the group ARE "Persons of Scientology." And that's done *according* to the subject itself. If that does not happen - if a person does not INSIST that the others operate according to the subject *AS* a part of the group (a representative of it, official or not) - then it is to that degree NOT the true Church **OF** Scientology, and will act like the "Church of _________" (whatever dramatization of absence of the subject the perpetrators render it). They are actually "perpet-traitors" - they perpetuate the "traitor" valence. The valence where compassion, help and love of one's fellow being is masked and, thus, absent. With it goes improvement, the subject, futures and responsibility for same. Every time an absence of keeping Scientology working is not-ised, the person disregarding it has just cut his own throat, to some degree, as a being. And that of other beings, as well! All these people have disregarded Keeping Scientology Working, and several other policies and tenets of the subject, regarding my treatment as a group member: Executive Director International, the International Justice Chief, the Continental Justice Chief at the Flag Land Base, the Commanding Officer of the Flag Land Base, the Commanding Officer of the Commodore's Messenger Org. at Clearwater, the International Landlord, the International Finance Director, the Int. Finance Ethics Officer, the Reports Officer RTC, the Inspector General RTC, the Chairman of the Board RTC, the Captain of the Freewinds, the Public Chaplain FLB, and numerous other terminals and posts along the way. These are posts. Jobs LRH would have done on a one-on-one basis if you would have been able to deal directly with him. I did not name names because the people (who have names) modified the posts, at the various times, to their view of how they should be done, rather than the way they should have ben done, thus resulting in policy violations. Different people may now hold some of these posts. Policy + post = KSW. Policy moified by viewpoint of post holder = policy violation UNLESS an LRH viewpoint is assumed, which policy also states. Policies are not "suggestions" or "profound philosophical statements." They are *policy.* Why am I saying something here, rather than attempting to handle it through any of the above terminals? That's what I've been trying to do for the last 10 years! And none of them - or any other Scientologists who knew of this loafing or destructive situation - would **DO** anything to actually correct it! Don't think I didn't give them plenty of chances to! I didn't (and wouldn't) depart Scientology. It's above all this. But Scientology damned sure departed me as far as the proprietors of the subject are (not) concerned! What did I do to ward it off? Upstat, stellar production done on the promise of fair exchange and expecting to actually receive delivery of the exchange! It boils down to trust that their jobs were being done as the LRH that I knew would do them and having that trust betrayed by all I sought it from. The proof of that fact is that the situation was never resolved. I've also never left the Free Zone, which the Church was originally supposed to be an augmentation of. If someone thinks my saying this stuff is going to "ruin my chances of going up the Bridge" then I say they were ruined years ago by the absence of keeping Scientology working - which I sought to correct and nobody would listen or act. I can't say I'm not better off in some ways than the day I walked in the door in 1975. But not as well off as I should be for the effort I put into it. I still want the situation resolved, though. So if any Scientologist actually CARES then get on it! On the other hand, if you're a namby-pamby, panty-waste diletante, don't care, then just let it slide. There's never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over - right? -Ken-
