Experiencing problems

Hallo!
Zuerst, es tut mir Leid dass ich soll auf Englisch
schrieben, mein Deutsch ist sehr schlecht...

Here are the problems I'm experiencing when using DDW
and various clients on a Win98 system.

I made a connection cable, about 3m long, from pins
3,5 of the 9-pin COM connector and pins 1,6 of the
Roco booster. Just to be sure, I added an 1N4004 and a
220Ohm resistor in series with the TXD pin and a 100K
resistor between the diode output and GND. When I was
experiencing the first problems also tried a straight
connection, without passive components.

Usually I start DDW server, RailyProg and ShowDCC.

Trying to programme with RailyProg a loco address with
value 64:
CV1: 64
CV17: 0
CV18: 0
CV29: 6

The server receives the commands from the client and
transmits the following commands through the serial
port:
Befehl Write erhalten : WRITE GL NMRA CV 0 64
command for service mode (SM) received
Protocol :NMRAdesttype :CVaddr/bit/value :0 0 64
Befehl Write erhalten : WRITE GL NMRA CV 28 6
command for service mode (SM) received
Protocol :NMRAdesttype :CVaddr/bit/value :28 0 6

ShowDCC shows the following output, in decimal
notation:
0 1 32 6 0 0 6
56 16 1
124 28 6 102
124 16 8 0 144 192
56 16 1
124 28 6 102

When trying further changes, ShowDCC reveals that only
CV29 is affected, not also CV1, this is clear reading
the sequence:
124 28 6 102
124 28 6 102
etc..

The signal read through the microphone jack seems
rather dirty, but it is hard to me to believe that
entire byte sequels are lost.

What do you think about it?
Viele Danke!
Stefano.
