Another point is that I am beginning to be used of : seeing people leave scientology :-) :) And hopefully you will see more! As more sceintologists get on to the internet they will encounter this group and find out that the Cof$ holds no real monopoly over their freedom, it's all an illusion that the Cof$ has created. : Both posts are now on my web site, as part of the personal testimonies : who will hopefully help other victims free themselves from the cult. I am honored! I will have to check it out soon! : Let me make another comment on your first post. You, Sir, are a hell of : a lucky person ! Not everyone gets back into life so fast and good after : leaving ! You got everything that scientology promised you by leaving !! Hehe. Yeah, thats true. I am just glad that I did not spend a few hundred thousand dollars like some of my friends did. I am out only about $22,000.00 directly and about $80-90 thousand indirectly if you count all the dumb mistakes I've made while trying to live my life as a scientologist. Also, a big thing while in the church, was not buying a house because in general it would be looked down on because the money 'should have been spent on the bridge'. Well, what happens when I'm old? I don't want to still be working full time when I'm 70 years old just to pay the rent! : But take precautions for things like when they call your employer. I : assume that you are easy to track in a city like Dallas. Well, not at the moment because I just got a new excellent job and moved into my own house. I think they may have found out my new unlisted home number though because my wife received a weird call out of the blue yesterday. Unfortunately the caller-ID did not show anything usefull and must have been an out-of-state call. : One point I do not understand: did you leave before or after reading : a.r.s. and a.c.t. ? I can straighten that out! It was only AFTER reading a.r.s and a.c.t that I decided to leave the church. There was always the threat while in the church of being denied the 'upper levels' if you screwed up or talked about the church in the wrong way, etc. After getting specialized 'Sec Checks' you are 'invited' to do the upper levels if you are clean enough to be 'trusted' by the Cof$. But, I had my doubts when I have come accross supposed Oat Teas who were lower than scum. It seemed they were invited because they had enough 'money'. (To be fair, I have met some fine Oat Teas too but isn't doing the Oat Tea levels supposed to make one not be scum?) The final point was when I found out I could have any part of the Bridge, if I wanted it, out here in the Free Zone. Trust me though, I had to examine a lot of reasons in my mind for not leaving the church before I could easily decide that I was going to be free of the church, sort of like clearing out the sceintology-reactive-mind. Over the years I had agreed to live by their policy and using tech outside of the church was 'very bad'. When I finally understood that the entire tech was NOT found entirely by Elron by himself then things fell in place. There was a lot of research and experimentation in the early days of scientology, before it was a church, and Ron did not discover it all himself. : Now here comes a central part in your post: : : I was : : very angry that she was making these threats to me as I had not believed : : everything on a.r.s but was finding out fast that they could definately be : : true. : I hope current scientologists have read this, and maybe they know they : are in an evil cult, that has no respect for anything but money. What I don't know is why so many scientologists agree to live in poverty or below (most of them do, I did) when it is just an illusion that the Cof$ has control over their freedom. It is probably because the Cof$ keeps most everyone very boxed in and sheilded from the outside. Take the internet for example. The FREEDOM mag is a good example of the Cof$ trying to keep as many scientologists off the information superhighway as possible to minimize its loses. It uses scare tactics just like it has used with psychs over the years. While I agree that there are probably abuses in that field, it is probably not wide spread like they say it is. I keep laughing about it though because in a number of years their will only be a handful of people who are NOT on the internet. Most people will have one way or another to access this information and there is no way to stop it. Probably the biggest group not on the internet will be clam owned businesses. Will WISE issue a policy about its members and the internet? Maybe, we will have to see. : : Needles to say, I outright told her to go 'fuck off!'. I do take : : some comfort in the fact that we have a number of arms and have been : : professionaly trained in their usage. : Heh heh, Texas again :-) Ka-chunk ! : [Sidenote: Yesterday I saw a re-run of "Tremors". There is a wonderful : scene in which two weapon fanatics are attacked by a monster. Too bad : for the monster.] I saw that! It was a great scene! : > We then got a letter from my wifes oldest sister, which I will : >call Y. (can you tell I'm a programmer? :) Now this letter was the most : >sincere and was hand written. (...) : Yes, this one seems more sincere. Hope that you can finally locate her, : she will surely be the next who will leave. Especially when learning of : your success ! Yes, we are going to send her a letter to her last known address and hopefully she will get it. I hope she will understand that we will be out here when she needs us. Good to talk with you Tilman!
