It's for PR purposes. It's a statement that LRH's brand of Scientology is available at the location. Also, it was once in case he dropped by he'd have a place to work. I was working on the on at the Fort Harrison, which we finished in time for the LRH Birthday event. We were constructing it with the idea that he would, indeed, use it some day. Then the event was held where his departure was announced and we still did a great job on it, but we did not include an adjacent private bathroom. I was in charge of technical application on the FH LRH office. I'd line out the application, pilot any new things and turn the hat over and get onto another aspect of it. We had 2 months to take it from a stripped-out shell to the palatial space it was when I last saw it. It took two weeks just to get the main materials and some special tooling we needed. I even had to draft some of the blueprints. Sometime I'd start the plans for some part of it, pilot the project, turn it over and the thing would be built before the drawing was done. So the LRH office project, at Flag, was consider "my thing" as a construction project. I have it on good authority that it was the *only* project in the entire Fort Harrison renovation that was on time and on budget. I have the "proud knowingness of accomplishment" to show for it. And I got some recognition and respect from a few people connected with the project, which I already had in some cases. But failure to deliver what was promised on the part of "Flag Service Org., Inc." and anyone else having to do with what I was promised in exchange for even going there, or seeing to it that the injustice was handled, was a penalization of my production of a huge proportions. It's been documented that I personally produced products or value of service in excess of $1,000 a day, very frequently, while working on the Fort Harrison project. Flag publics go there and enjoy them at will, without any idea how they got there or that they were not exchanged for. You'd think being one of the (or the) top technical terminals on the renovation of the mecca of technical Perfection would have at least gotten me my next step on the Bridge! When I pointed out that there was an injustice I was led to believe that it would be resolved. But all I got was the "run-around" and eventually abandoned - regardless of who the terminal was I sought help from, or the level of the terminal. So much for "PR" and "caring." This is an extremely brief statement of only part of "my story." I had been reluctant to mention it on a.r.s. because I still had hope for resolution. But since it hasn't happened in 11 years, it seems likely that it would not in another 11 - unless Scientology were to get applied. LRH recommended not wasting this brief breath in Eternity. I never thought someone else would waste it for me! -Ken-
