    From about 85 to 89 I was in a deep depression.  90+% of my
    daily thoughts dealt with death.  I gained 50 pounds.  Often I
    didn't go out of my house for weeks.  I could not sleep
    without waking up in a cold sweat.

    Slowly I began to walk to the library and check out books on
    depression.  I joined a discussion support group, but they
    couldn't grasp what it was like to be recovering from a cult.
    In 89 I saw a show on Sally Jessie Raphael which mentioned
    CAN.

    I contacted Priscilla Coates, was lent a bunch of books and
    the rest is history.  Well, sorta.  I got back to making
    music and I began to publish a newsletter called "the
    inFormer".  Over the next year and a half I put out 12
    issues.
