Newsgroups: alt.religion.scientology Subject: Theta Movie Description: "Far and away" From: tilman@berlin.snafu.de (Tilman Hausherr) Theta Movie Description: "Far and away" I saw the movie "Far and away" with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman on TV. For those who didn't see it, or who saw it and didn't understand it, here's the story, with all ethics 100% in. ==== A young irish scientologist (Tom Cruise) refuses to pay more NOTS auditing fees for his dying dad. As a result, the local franchise holder starts a lawsuit. After he realises that the defendant is already dead, Judge Whyte grants summary judgement and the OSA burns down the house to eliminate the entheta influence, and to help him to work on his condition formula: "Find out where you are". For unknown reasons Tom Cruise gets very upset, and decides to kill the mission holder. The first time he fails because he is not cause over his horse (his horse runs away), the second time he fails because he is not cause over his gun: the mission holder does a "Bugs Bunny" (ties a knot in the gun) while his hot red-haired daughter Nicole Kidman misdirects him with her intention beams, and of course the gun explodes in the face of Tom Cruise, and they immediately fax a success story to Denmark, and their stats are up. After Tom Cruise gets an emergency touch-assist, he lies naked in the bed with a big bowl hiding his "2D powers" from the eyes of the too-young-for-it daughter (Nicole Kidman). While the wife of the mission holder is away to handle some upsets in the family, Nicole Kidman peeks under the bowl, hoping to find OT levels there, and is severely enturbulated by what she sees, which can be observed throughout the movie. Cruise tries to escape the mission, but is caught. He tries to upset the OSA officer (Eugene McShane) of the mission by telling him "You burnt down our house", but McShane has his TRs in, handles it 100% standard tech: "The RTC ordered to burn down hundreds of houses, so why should I remember yours ?", and then puts Cruise on the Introspection Rundown, in the hope that Cruise gets his ethics in. He gets a late night visit by Nicole Kidman, who is a Class 4 auditor. After a very well done session, she tells that she wants to emigrate and to travel to Flag, because that's the Mecca of 100% standard tech. She shows him a memo of Flag, but he can't read it, because he hasn't taken the Key To Life course yet. She also postulates to travel to Oklahoma, to open her own mission there. In the morning, Eugene McShane offers Tom Cruise a mutual R2-45 auditing session - but Cruise is kidnapped by Kidman, and is forced to "blow" the R2-45 auditing. She makes Cruise her personal communicator, and they travel on the Freewinds to the US. In the US she loses all her silver spoons, which she tried to sell thru a Boston attorney to pay for her auditing. Cruise and Kidman get help thru the local irish exile dianetics group, and they change roles: now Kidman is Cruise's personal communicator. After enforcing 100% standard tech in the group with his fists, he gets the group "back on source" and everyone has many wins and they write many success stories, and the group expands. In the meantime, RTC has found out that the irish mission was severely out-ethics, and to purge squirrel tech (like the "Bugs Bunny" method explained before) out of Ireland, the mission is burned down by the RTC agents, just at the time Kidman's parents were reading Kidman's first success story. They have a cognition, and decide also to also travel to Flag, or at least to Oklahoma. Cruise and Kidman find jobs, and they save everything they can. Thanks to LRH's tech, Cruise has big wins in local sports competitions. Kidman works in a food plant that plucks squirrels, which are used as ethical food for the local dianetics group. But Cruise starts to be very Out-2D with a dianetics dancer named "Grace". Kidman tries to get him into ethics, but because of the unhandled "2D-Powerz" engram (resulting from what she saw under the bowl at the beginning of the story), she fails, and participates in dianetics dancing instead, in the hope to handle "Grace" or at least to grow bigger breasts. This incident sadly results in Tom Cruise's loss of a sports fight with an italian scientologist, and they lose all, and end on the streets. After three days searching for food, they find some in a house and they have a very well done auditing session in which they "mock up falling in love". But before they can write a success story, they get caught and she gets shot in the shoulder. While trying to somehow get an emergency touch-assist in Boston, they discover ... Eugene McShane, who is now also in the US, together with the Irish former mission holder ! He leaves Kidman there, and applies for a job in railway construction, and has many incredible wins and writes many success stories, and the railway is expanding and blah blah blah. After making money, he participates in the big birthday game land race in Oklahoma, mostly because he finds out that "Flag" is created only about 100 years later. At the land race, he meets back Nicole Kidman, who is now enturbulated by the evil Eugene McShane who wants to start a 2D with her. McShane also applies a PTS handling to Cruise by threatening him with R2-45. Sadly just before the race, Tom Cruise's horse drops the body, and he is forced to buy another horse, which is *very* enturbulated: the salesman tells him: "This one is fast, but might take you to Bulgravia instead of Oklahoma". Luckily, Kidman tells him the 100% standard tech handling for enturbulated horses (blowing the clam engram by hitting the horse's jaws), and Cruise is successful in finding land. The mission holder is also successful with 100% standard tech: he cheats, but he is upstat. The evil Eugene McShane tries to get the same land as Cruise and tries to apply R2-45 on Cruise, but Cruise is 100% standard tech so he doesn't succeed, Cruise has many wins, even rises from the dead, and at the end Cruise and Kidman kiss, they have their land, start their mission, adopt many fresh babies, and have many wins, write many success stories, and scientology expands like never never before and this time it is really-really-really true I swear it they are really expanding, and the film ends with a big theta, even the VCR starts to glow from it. Wow. ==== Did I like the movie ? Honestly, yes. I award it three (of five) clams. As usual, Cruise and Kidman have no acting talent. Cruise plays himself, and Kidman's acting talent has not improved since "BMX bandits", except that she can now afford a better hairdo and better looking clothes, and even sometimes looks like a beautiful woman instead of just a person with red pasta on her head. But the story is nice, and Ron Howard is a professional. (They tried to smoothly recruit him by "somehow" having a meeting on a scientology site, but they failed - Ron Howard doesn't even realize this !)
