Follow this link. It`s an introduction to DDW and at page 7 (I think so) there is a description how to connect PC to 10761 an also a wiring diagramm.
 
summary:
cable 6 und 1 from 10761 connected to 5 and 3  of a 9 pin RS 232 plug or with 7 and 2 of the 25 pin RS232 plug.
No warranty ; )
 
I did it last week and it works very good.
I did'nt try short circuit protection till yet. If you receive good ideas, tell me please

  I' ve seen in the DDW help, that is possible to use the Roco 10761 as a booster for DDW server.
Could someone give me some info?
Someone does it and it run correctly?
And then, someone solved the problem of the short protection?
