Queer Watchlion

Why should such a queer film need a Queer Watchlion page of its own? Well, we would like to draw your attention to the unusual way it is being sold. No Ordinary Love is teeming with gays and bisexuals. But this has never before been any reason for a distributor to get involved in this topic, as long as a heterosexual female is featured (think of My Own Private Idaho, the American video cover especially). Not so Capella International: all the posters, stills, festival details and certain press write-ups all suggest a purely gay film. As innovative as the film is, so is its distributor.

UPDATE APRIL '97: No Ordinary Love's new world distributor, Picture This! Entertainment, includes more, meaning the heterosexual part, of the content in its more extensive press material.
