BPM COMPANY BIO

As a small company, it made no sense for BPM to outlay hundreds of thousands of dollars to have all the necessary machines and employees for the production to be done in house, so they had to expand in a different way. They gave most of the work to companies around Berlin and in Germany that did work for other leading German Microphone companies. The fact is BPM still gets some of the capsules from China, some are made in house, and some are made by a very well known German company, who's name we are not allowed to mention by contract. BPM does many of their own capsules in house, and they are now focusing on doing all of them in house in the near future. It is not a question of technique or know how, it is still an economical question for BPM.

After all, the only way to get a BPM to sound like a U47, or U87, is to be able to build it economically. After listening and comparing BPM with any German made microphone, we contend you will agree that they are every bit as good or better, for less than half the price.
